Anna Maria Fantuzzi

Curriculum Coordinator, Founding Member

Anna Maria Fantuzzi is one of the co-founders of SIEF International and was an interim School Director. Originally from Ravenna (Italy), Anna Maria has been living in Chicago since 2002. She holds a Degree in Italian Literature from Bologna University, started teaching right after graduation. Since then, Anna Maria has dedicated herself to the field of education.

After teaching Italian in private, Italian middle school, she became a tenured teacher of Italian and Latin in public high schools. While working, she earned a Degree in Philosophy with a thesis on Education. Once in Chicago, she started a new chapter in her career focusing on teaching Italian as a second language at DePaul University. In 2014 she also earned a Master Degree in Curriculum Studies from DePaul University.

Scuola Italiana Enrico Fermi is a final and exciting outcome of her lifelong interest in Education. When she is not teaching, Anna Maria likes to spend time with her husband and her three children, especially outdoors. She loves reading, visiting museums and going to the theatre.
